The inaugural McDonald’s All American High School Soccer Games where held on June 15, 2002 at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, SC.

Players for the McDonald’s All American High School Soccer Games were chosen by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), which represents more than 16,000 soccer coaches throughout the United States. The event is an elite gathering of the best high school graduating senior players in the United States.

Sponsors in 2002 included national sponsors PowerADE, McDonald’s, adidas and the NSCAA as well as local sponsors – Daniel Island, The Sports Source and Trident Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation.

The 2003 edition of the McDonald's All American High School Soccer Games (Boys and Girls) also took place at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina.
